Drum Lessons
Ages 5 to Adult
Let's Play Music teaches drumset, snare, hand drums (Bongos, Congas, and Djembe), and mallets (xylophone). With drum lessons, students learn:
- sticking technique
- rudiments
- snare and drumset playing
- learning to read music
- learning to create your own music
- We always make music lessons fun!
Students can choose from matched grip or traditional grip. Like other lessons, drum students have the opportunity to play duets, play in bands, compete and perform at the New England Music Festival & Competition, and our recitals.
If a student doesn't have a drumset, we offer a pad drum set or drumset rental. A practice pad is sufficient to start lessons but it is important to realize that most students lose interest quickly if they do not have a drumset or a pad set to practice on because learning on a pad alone can be very dry. One drum set that we sell is a new full size student model drumset which retails for $579 for $399.
